LOCAL MP GREG BARKER: DROP IN LOCAL CRIME MEANS PEOPLE IN ROTHER CAN FEEL SAFER

Local MP Greg Barker has welcomed news that recorded crime in Rother has fallen once again over the last twelve months. Latest figures from the independent Office for National Statistics show that since 2010 recorded crime in Rother has fallen by 12%.

Commenting, Greg said:

‘It is great news that crime continues to fall in Rother. Hardworking local police officers in Rother can be rightly proud of their success in cutting crime.

‘We want to set the police free to fight crime. That’s why we have cut red tape and given police one simple target: cut crime.

‘People want to know they are safe on their streets and in their homes, and our plan to make sure they can is working. Crime is falling, according to both the recorded crime stats and the independent crime survey, and we will continue working to give people who do the right thing personal security’
