At BBCA we've been holding a series of Zoom question times with local and national politicians, normally chaired by Huw Merriman. On the 22nd January our guest was Tom Tugendhat, MP MBE. Tom is chairman of the Foreign Affairs Select committee and very knowledgeable in all aspects of foreign policy.
Questions and discussion included:
- trade deals with China and others and whether they should be linked to human rights
- smart motorways
- the handling of the pandemic by ministers when being interviewed
- Eurostar and whether we should help to bail it out
- transportation to vaccination centres
- the vaccination of ship's crews tied up in port or stranded around our coasts
- housing targets in Rother
