GREG PLEASED THAT BURLARIES DOWN AND ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR UNDER CONTROL

Local MP, Greg Barker, was pleased to hear that burglaries are at an all time low and anti-social behaviour is well under control in the Wealden District of his Bexhill and Battle Constituency during his meeting with Wealden District Commander, Chief Inspector Dick Coates last Friday.

Chief Inspector Coates explained to Greg how recent initiatives involving local officers on patrol and PCSOs are building trust and confidence with local communities and allowing officers to respond promptly to residents’ concerns.

Speaking in Heathfield, Greg said “I was very encouraged by the continued low levels of crime in our area but we can’t be complacent. In particular I would like to commend the ongoing work of our local police and PCSO’s who do so much to keep us safe and peaceful.”
