BBCA took a stand at Heathfield Show on Saturday. When the rains came down the public flooded in and we were able to have great debates on all manner of things. When the sun shone folk visited us to discuss various topics, talk to Huw Merriman MP and to congratulate us for taking the trouble to show up! The children's games were well received, although some of the sweets we offered as prizes were not popular!
All in all it was a great experience. Thanks due to Michael Endor for supplying, erecting and dismantling the marquee and gazebo, to Zai and Peter Zoder and Tom Graham for meeting greeting talking and amusing. We were also grateful to Jeannette Towey, a member of Wealden Association, who helped out cheerfully all day, whatever the weather!
