Last Tuesday 10th May, the councillors of East Sussex County Council
elected Cllr Michael Ensor to be the Chairman of ESCC for the coming
year. The role is not only to chair the business of the Council, and to
apply the constitution and rules of the Council, but also to act as an
Ambassador for ESCC throughout the County. The Chairman attends various
civic events on behalf of the County, and also received petitions from
residents on matters of considerable concern. Cllr Ensor said "It is a
considerable honour to have been elected by my colleague councillors,
and I look forward to being a representative of the county council, and
meeting many people throughout the County."

Cllr Michael Ensor has been the County Councillor for Bexhill King Offa
Division since May 2008.
