Huw welcomes Battle Cancer Research Group to Parliament
Huw Merriman, MP for Battle recently welcomed 23 members of the Battle Cancer Research Group to Parliament.
The visit was organised by Julia Gates on behalf of the Group following an invitation from Huw at one of their fund-raising events. After their tour with an expert guide, the group joined Huw for a 30 minute question and answer session where they discussed life at Westminster and local issues such as transport and health.
Huw said “It was a pleasure to welcome the Battle Cancer Research Group to Westminster. I have supported some of their local fundraising events over the past two years and greatly admire their dedication and hard-work. I’m so pleased that they enjoyed their day in Westminster.”
