Greg was given a tour of the new boathouse for Bexhill Rowing Club by their President Gerald Matthews when he called into their new premises on Bexhill promenade last week.
Greg was shown much improved and enlarged facilities of the club which has been kitted out with new training equipment and racking for their boats.
Speaking in Bexhill Greg said, “As Patron of the Rowing Club for over 10 years I was delighted to see for myself the terrific new boathouse that this winning rowing club truly deserves.
For years our local crews have been smashing records and winning prizes but at last they have a fitting home of which both they and the whole town can be proud. Here’s to another successful year!”
The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 9am. They are looking forward to welcoming lots of new members this season and rowers can join at any age from 11 years upwards. For enquiries please contact Nick McCorry on 07828 433801.
