The Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is delighted to announce that The Rt Hon Johnny Mercer, MP & Minister of State for Veterans' Affairs is joining them for Dinner at the PowderMills hotel in Battle, TN33 0SP on Friday 22 March 2024.

Although MP for Plymouth Moor View, Johnny Mercer was born in Kent and an old boy of Eastbourne College. He is a former British Army officer, having started at RMA Sandhurst in 2001. He was elected to Parliament in 2015 to become Minister for Veterans' Affairs in July 2022. After resigning in September that year, he was reappointed and is responsible for the creation of the Veterans' Mobility Fund. The ABF feels lucky to have him come along to their dinner before, they hope, campaigning starts for the forthcoming inevitable general election.

Johnny is an entertaining speaker so this will make for a very jolly evening. Mrs Felicity Mercer will also be attending and will join in a question-and-answer session. Politics will not be the order of the day, unless you ask!

Friday 22 March, 6.45pm for 7.30pm dinner-11pm and Tickets £69 per person. Each ticket includes a welcome drink and three-course dinner with coffee. To book your ticket and for more information please email [email protected].

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A BBCA ORGANISED EVENT BUT ENCOURAGING BBCA MEMBERS TO TAKE PART IF THEY ARE INTERESTED.
