AGM

This years AGM was held at Robertsbridge on Friday March 25th and proved to be  a lively event which saw a large turnout.

John Ball graciously stepped down as President and was succeeded by John Barnes. A presentation was made to John which included a personal endorsement from David Cameron.

Both John Ball and Anthony Hepburn were made Vice Presidents.

Richard Childs presented his last accounts as Treasurer and was unanimously thanked for his tremendous efforts.

Etchingham won the plate for the most successful fundraising  Branch. The plate was collected by Annette Childs.

The  Ladies of The Fund Raising Committee who are stepping down from their catering duties  namely Annette Childs. Patrica Elston. Helen Lewis and Patricia Walker were thanked and presented with flowers by Melvyn Howell the current FRC Chairman 

Melvyn was elected unopposed as the new Association Chairman and Gaynor Gough the Deputy Chairman (Political) . There were several new names also elected unopposed namely Malcolm Gates Treasurer, Mike Murphy Western Area, John Elston, Northern Area, Angharad Davies Eastern Area and Pam Doodes  Fundraising along with Brian Kentfield Carl Maynard and Tony Freebody

The position of Deputy Chairman ( Membership) was contested and a secret ballot named Mike Lewis. There were three other Officers vacancies which were contested and a second secret ballot awarded the positions to Richard Childs, Michael Ensor and Zai Koder.

Greg Barker gave his topical address and generously answered questions.

Both Gaynor Gough and John Ball paid tribute to Gillian Wheeler our Agent.

Final for those who had reserved it there was the final supper from the Ladies of the Fundraising Committee.
